Is the jewellery made of real silver?
Each piece is made from 99.9% fine silver and is created to a high standard. All of our findings including chains and bracelets are made from sterling silver.
Is there an age limit for the prints that can be used?
No, definitely not. There is no age limit for taking prints and we are often asked to create piece using the prints of both adults and children. We can even use the pet prints.
Can I use prints that I already have?
Yes, we can definitely use any prints that you may have already. We would just need to check the quality of the print to ensure that we can work with it, but in most cases it isn’t a problem. The amount of detail captured on the print may not match that of those taken using our special inkless print kit. But will still be able to make a lovely piece.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Because each piece is made entirely by hand the lead time is up to 21 days from us receiving your prints.
Can I re-order using prints that I’ve sent you before?
Yes, that’s absolutely fine. We keep copies of all prints on file and we would just need you to send us details of your previous order so that we can trace your prints.
Will the jewellery be hallmarked?
Hallmarking isn’t required for pieces weighing under 7.78 grams. Because of this any pieces weighing under the required weight will not be hallmarked.
How do we get your prints to make them into jewellery?
We will send you a mess & ink free kit to take your prints. The inkless paper will react with the inkless wipes. Simply wipe the applicator wipe over the hand or foot, then steadily press onto the inkless paper. Within a couple of minutes, a print will appear. This is non-toxic and can be used safely and easily to create beautifully detailed prints. The small wipe can be used several times. However, if you don’t feel happy with your prints, please contact us and we can send out another kit at a small charge.
Then simply email your prints back to us at: email@example.com and your order will be ready in 2-3 weeks.
How do we get your precious fingerprints to make them into jewellery?
We will send out a fingerprint mould kit to you which will include enough moulding materials to make two fingerprint moulds. One pot of white and one pot of blue material, each mould will use half of each pot mixed together.
You then simply mix the two colours together until they are a solid colour and roll into a ball. Place the ball onto a hard surface such as a book or a coaster and press the finger into the putty. If you are happy with the print then leave to set for 10-15 minutes. Once set, place in the bag provided along with your order form and post it back to us. Your beautiful jewellery will be ready in 2-3 weeks.
Children younger than 6 months do not always have a well-defined fingerprint so there may not be a lot of detail but there will be a lovely little dimple, which will still look beautiful and will be unique to your child. Please ensure you are happy with at least one of the imprints, as this is how the fingerprint on your charm will look. If you are not satisfied, please contact us for more moulding material at a small cost.
How do we get your artwork onto precious jewellery?
All you need to do is send us your image via email. We ask that the images are on white paper and that dark colours are used where possible. We will then reduce the size of the print, keeping all the detail intact. This image is then made into a stamp which is imprinted in the fine silver charm. Your jewellery will then be ready in 2-3 weeks.
Personalisation on your jewellery
A hand stamped name, initial or date can be added at no additional cost. Please specify this in the notes section when you check out. Due to the size of the print and charm chosen, this is not always possible. If this is the case on your order we will contact you to discuss other options.
